Command and Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars demo secret

Ever wondered how it feels like to play the NOD in EA's Command and Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars demo? Well the people over at Evil Avatar have the answer. Although the game won't let you choose the army you want to play with, following these simple instructions will get you playing as NOD in no time. However, Scrin aren't playable.
- hover over SKIRMISH mode and press NEW SKIRMISH
- click the little arrow under the Army tab
- hover your mouse over the NOD army
- while keeping your mouse hovered, press N and simultaneously click the left mouse button
Using this same technique, you can battle against the GDI army but this time pressing G instead of the N while hovering your mouse pointer over your enemy's GDI army in the selection tab. Note that selecting Scrin will work, but it is not playable because you have no construction options and you get a Defeated message as soon as you enter the battle.
As you can see playing as the Scrin is impossible.

Blizzard launches World of Warcraft: Armory

Blizzard has just launched WoW: Armory, a database full of information about characters, arena teams, and guilds. The site is updated in real time and I have to say that it's pretty slick. It uses Ajax and surprisingly enough, I didn't get too many errors.
There are two versions of the Armory, the US and the EU version, so check if you're on the right one before complaining to Blizzard that you haven't found your character or guild.
As I said, you can view ANY information about any character, which made a lot of people complain about an "invasion of privacy". Most info is already available in game, but some (like the talent tree) are not. Blizzard's Armory will surly have a lot of traffic coming in from all the people trying to get info on their enemies. Let's just wait and see what happens.
GTA IV Trailer Coming Next Month

After confirming that Grand Theft Auto IV will be officially launched for the PS3 and Xbox 360 in October 2007, Rockstar has set up a teaser site, which includes a huge GTA IV logo and a counter, indicating the release of their first trailer. So go ahead and set this as your home page for the next 27 days.

Take Two, publisher of the Grand Theft Auto series has confirmed in its financial results conference call that they will be rolling out the fourth installment of the famous game in October 2007 and will ship simultaneously for the PS3 and Xbox 360.
The company has also announced that it will introduce episodic content for GTA IV starting 2008. But we kinda knew about that since E3 2006, when Microsoft made a deal with Take Two to have exclusivity over the episodic content for the Xbox 360.

Nothing really fancy here, just the first screenshot from SimCity for the Nintendo DS. Besides giving us the opportunity to see how the upcoming game will look, it shows us how it uses the handheld's dual-screen setup.
SimCity DS is based on the PC version of SimCity 3000 but it's definitely not a port. The game features full stylus-based controls and a new adviser who helps you build and manage your city.
The game will also include a multiplayer mode, the game's publisher, EA, informs us.
Empire Earth III announced, screenshots

Sierra Entertainment announced a new game in the Empire Earth series labeled Empire Earth III, currently in development at Mad Doc Software. Details of the game can be found in a preview of the game found in PC Gamer magazine. Units that have survived a battle can go on and fight another day. Buildings and researched technology will also last from one mission to the other, releasing the player from the stress of having to build the same structures and research the same technologies over and over again.
Empire Earth is the only RTS series that allows players to build and rule an empire from the ancient world to the distant future, battling it out across the globe through the eons in a bid for worldwide control. Unlike other RTS games that take away the spoils of victory, Empire Earth III will offer continuous free-form gameplay that will allow players to keep units from one battle to the next.
Sierra Entertainment announced that the game should be ready by fall 2007. While you wait, you'll probably want to check out some screenshots from the game.

Electronic Arts released new screenshots from Command and Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars and details of the upcoming demo version of the game. The playable demo will pack a tutorial mission, two single-player missions with the famous live action video sequences, a skirmish map playable on three different difficulty settings, and a trailer featuring Tricia Helfer, Grace Park, Michael Ironside.
If you are a FilePlanet subscriber you may reserve the demo now and it will automatically download as soon as it is made available. The demo will be released on the 26th of February. In the meantime check out these new screenshots from the game.
Fixing the World of Warcraft patch error on Vista

While trying to update World of Warcraft on my Vista box yesterday, I encountered a small error:
The file "C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\World of Warcraft\World of Warcraft.lnk.Temporary" could not be created. If this problem persists, you may be able to solve it by uninstalling and then reinstalling the game. If you are unable to correct this problem, please contact Blizzard Technical Support. (InstallerFile::Create)
Here's how to fix the problem: instead of normally starting the game and letting it update, right-click on the World of Warcraft shortcut on your desktop and select "Run as administrator". That's it!
